DUKE CENTER — ThinkFast Interactive, in partnership with State Farm Insurance, will present its innovative, interactive and experiential program for students Friday at Otto-Eldred High School to raise awareness on their driving responsibilities. ThinkFast Interactive is a nationally touring prevention intervention program based in Grand Rapids, Mich. The program, representatives said, is an innovative and effective method for delivering safety and prevention messaging to teens via a competitive trivia format. ThinkFast Interactive’s mission is to instill safety messaging in a non-intrusive way, inspiring young people to be smarter and more informed people. The company has been working with federal, state and local governments for nearly 20 years to reach target audiences on a broad variety of issues like: Teen driver safety; vaping prevention and tobacco use prevention; Drug use, substance abuse and addiction awareness; bullying and suicide prevention; and mental health awareness, to name a few. ThinkFast® Interactive was developed in 1997 as a program that would non-intrusively expose participants to and educate them on important information on hard-to-tackle topics such as the consequences of underage drinking, drug use, bullying, traffic safety, distracted driving, etc., while simultaneously entertaining them in a safe, relaxed and fun environment. ThinkFast works with national automotive companies, highway safety offices and community partners to produce more than 600 programs a year across the United States with four national tours. “For the better part of 20 years, I have watched our program impact diverse audiences all across this country and be a catalyst for positive change,” said Tim John, owner and president, ThinkFast Interactive. “The intrinsic value of making a difference and connecting with today’s youth is hard to put into words, but making a difference is the ‘fire’ in the heart of all our team members that work so diligently to make programs that make a difference.” “Motor vehicle crashes are still the number one cause of death among teens in the U.S.,” said State Farm Corporate Responsibility Analyst Dwayne Redd. “So, it was a ‘no brainer’ for State Farm to partner with ThinkFast to bring awareness and education around this topic to our high school community. We continue to stay strongly committed to doing everything we can to reduce teen crashes and help save lives.” The visit is sponsored by State Farm™ and hosted by agents Jennifer McMillen in Bradford, Cara Montarsi in Lock Haven and Devon Kloss in Bradford.
